Eric Stevens worked for the Florida Medical Marijuana campaignUnited for Care as the Campaign’s Finance Director from 2013-2016. He worked on both the 2014 campaign and the 2016 campaign that passed with the highest margin of any medical marijuana question ever at 71%. He currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Florida for Care, a non-profit membership organization of individuals focused on implementing Amendment 2 and Florida’s medical marijuana system.

Before this Eric also worked in his home state of Massachusetts with the Mass Patient Advocacy Alliance to help pass Question #3 for MedicalMarijuana in November 2012. Eric attended the University of Miami business school in Coral Gables, where he helped found the university’s chapter ofStudent's for Sensible Drug Policy. In 2009 he received a scholarship that allowed him to begin his pursuit of bringing medical cannabis laws to both Florida andMassachusetts. He was also invited in 2010 to join the University’s ClintonGlobal Initiative (CGIU) to continue his work towards this.

He has resided in Miami Beach for the past four years and worked with city officials to place the first question related to medical marijuana on any Florida election ballot in November of 2013. He also worked with the City of Miami Beach to push them to become the first city to decriminalize possession of marijuana in Florida. The same month Miami Dade the first county to pass a similar ordinance and now many cities across the state have followed suit. In addition to his work at the state level for Medical Marijuana withFlorida for Care at the state level, Eric will be assisting people at the local level as they position themselves to get involved within the future market herein Florida.
